Blanket Canyon – Spectacular

Located: Upper Blanket Canyon

Approach:
A) At the upper Blanket Canyon, follow the Rim Trail past the top rappel anchor of Baby’s Blanket and Calm and Easy. Keep walking for an additional 15 meters in the given direction (west). Eventually follow an exposed ledge to the rappel anchor. Rappel 30 meters to the Mid Wall Ledge.
B) Climb the first pitch of Calm and Easy. From the first belay move diagonally up to the climber’s right and eventually follow the prominent Mid Wall Ledge to the lower chain anchor of Spectacular.

Route: Climb the right-hand edge of an arching overhang, as you aim to the left. Eventually climb straight up to the top anchor.

Blanket Canyon – Crackpot

Located: Upper Blanket Canyon

Gear: BD Camalot 0.2 to 3, few quickdraws, 2 shoulder slings.

Approach:
A) At the Upper Blanket Canyon, follow the Rim Trail past the top rappel anchor of Baby’s Blanket and Calm and Easy. Keep walking for an additional 15 meters in the given direction (west). Eventually follow an exposed ledge to the rappel anchor. Rappel 30 meters to the Mid Wall Ledge.
B) Climb the first pitch of Calm and Easy. From the first belay move diagonally up to the climber’s right and eventually follow the prominent Mid Wall Ledge to the lower anchor of Crackpot, two bolts.

Route: Climb straight up into a corner-roof. Pull this roof on a finger crack and after keep climbing straight up, past a second roof with a deep right facing corner below. Exit this second roof to the climber’s left and after, move straight up to the top anchor.

Blanket Canyon, Golfball Wall – Fathers Day
